SWIMMING POOLS
Two swimming pools are located at the entrance of Senator's Ridge, just behind the clubhouse.
Pool Rules
Use of swimming pools is for Senator Ridge residents (see note 1), who are in good standing (see note 2), and their guests (see note 3). Current amenities tag is required to enter the pool area and is to remain with resident while using the area. Any resident or pool attendant can request amenities tag verification.
In case of emergency – DIAL 911
All who enter the pool accept the following rules and violations:
- Yearly Distributed Amenity Tag required to use the pool area
- No lifeguard - swim at your own risk
- No playing with life-saving devices
- Shower prior to entering the pool
- Minor Residents (see note 4) must be accompanied by a parent/grandparent/guardian at all times. The Paulding County Sheriff department will be contacted if a child is left unattended. Exception for 14 and 15 year old residents who have satisfied the lifeguard swim test.
- Hourly ten (10) minute Safety Rest required for lifeguard.
- Proper, modest swim attire required (no cut-offs, tank tops, jeans, undergarments, etc.)
- Rubber pants must be worn over swim diapers on non-toilet trained children (see note 5). If a non-toilet trained child does not wear a swim diaper with a vinyl/rubber cover, the resident will incur a $50 fine.
- No spitting, nose blowing, or spouting water
- No diving at any time
- No running, pushing, dunking, fence climbing, or horseplay
- Use of foul language/inappropriate behavior or intoxication are grounds for immediate removal from pool area
- No glass containers permitted (see note 5)
- No grills or cooking permitted
- No eating in or near the pool (see note 5)
• Residents are permitted to bring food and drinks to the pool
• Keep food and drinks contained to the areas around the chairs and tables along the perimeter of the fence
• Dispose of all trash when leaving. A garbage can is located in the pool area for your convenience. - Smoking
• No smoking at the Family Pool
• Smoking is permitted at the Lap pool for those 18 older.
• No smoking in the pool - Slide Rules
• Only 1 person on slide at a time unless it is a parent with their child
• The landing area should be cleared prior to the next person beginning to slide
• No standing on the slide
• Slide feet first only laying on back or sitting upright. No head first sliding
• No jumping or running onto the slide
• Inflatable rings and floats allowed within reason, if kept under control
• No horseplay on the steps or landing area
• Prior to sliding only 2 people at a time are allowed on the top standing area of the slide - Pool Parties
• Pool Parties are limited to a maximum of 35 non-resident guests
• Pool Parties with 10 or more non-resident guests require an additional Pool Attendant at the expense of the resident. A minimum of two-hours will be billed to the resident
• Download the Request for Lifeguard Form and Pool Reservation and Use Agreement and sent them to the pool management company no less than 7 days prior to the event.
Notes
- A resident is defined as a person who lives in a home located within Senator’s Ridge community.
- Good standing is defined as those residents who are current on the association fees.
- A guest is a person who does not reside in Senator’s Ridge.
- Minor Residents are dependents of homeowners under the age of sixteen (16).
- As mandated by the Board of Health, vomit/fecal matter/glass requires pool closure for 24 hours. The resident will incur for following charges when found in violation
• First Offense - $100 fine added to homeowner’s account
• Second Offense - $200 fine added to homeowner’s account and banned from pools for one week
• Third Offense - $300 fine added to homeowner’s account and banned from pools for season
If pool must be pumped and filled, the costs incurred will be added to the homeowner’s account, regardless of offense level. Three dismissals issued to any resident, any family member, and/or their guests during any single pool season will cause privileges to be revoked for the remainder of the season.
Pool Management Company has established the following discipline procedures:
Daily Rules:
The Lifeguards will maintain discipline at all times. No person will be exempt from discipline. Discipline will be described in two categories and dealt with accordingly.
Violent problems are to include, but not limited to, fighting, being present under the influence of drugs or alcohol, tripping, vulgarism, theft, etc. and will be dealt with as follows:
• First Offense: 1 Full day out of pool
• Second Offense: 1 Full week out of pool
• Third Offense: Indefinite ejection from pool and offender will be referred to the Client’s governing body for permanent ejection from pool
Non-Violent problems are to include, but not to be limited to, public display of affection offensive to others, running, rough-housing in or around the pool area, general pool rule infractions, yelling, boisterous conduct, etc. and will be dealt with as follows:
• First Offense - verbal warning
• Second Offense – time out next to the Pool Attendant stand
• Third Offense - Dismissal from the pool for the day
• The Pool Attendant will fill out a disciplinary form if a swimmer is told to leave the pool
Pool Season:
Endangering the lives of others will end the use of the pool facility for that person(s) for the remainder of the season.
POOL ATTENDANTS HAVE THE FINAL SAY IN ENFORCING ALL RULES AND HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO TELL SWIMMERS TO LEAVE THE POOL AREA.
